I’m not one to push the “if it bleeds, it leads” mentality, but one of the problems with having a plethora of cable news channels, internet news site, network news programs, newspapers, and news magazines is that the dissemination of information has been bastardized into a tasteless, indistinguishable mash of entertainment and journalism. News should inform, but what we get more often than not is titallation. How is ANYTHING related to the Michael Jackson or Robert Blake trials even close to being newsworthy?
