PEAK?

I just noticed this item.

Politics is like the stock market. It is around the time that the pundits start guessing how much higher the Dow can go that it peaks. Similarly, after the November election, there was a general belief that the GOP strangle-hold on power would tighten and a Republican policy revolution was about to sweep across the land. Either on this blog, or to my wife, I said that the Democrats just need to stand aside a bit and let the Republicans enough rope to hang themselves.

Here, in California, Schwarzenegger is realizing that his goofy-I-can-eat-the-world grin, is starting to wear on people. His approval rating has fallen to 43% from 59% in January. Voters are realizing that this guy uses the same playbook as Bush. Claim there is a crisis and then sell the solution in a glitzy, manufactured marketing campaign devoid of real discourse.:
