The first sign is denial...
A fine thing, you might say:
Just like alcoholism, the first sign of a presidential candidacy is the coy denial of ambition coupled with a failure absolutely to foreclose the possibility. The AP reports that Sec'y of State Condoleeza Rice has taken that first step.
