Comedy in New York

The only thing that would make this better is if it stopped raining here:

I wanted to see the Statue of Liberty but I'm told you can no longer climb it. Rather than going to the island, I took the Staten Island ferry which affords a good view but is still free. I didn't linger in Staten Island but simply went straight across and straight back. Afterwards I took the bus up to Soho and spent some hours walking through Soho and Greenwich Village. Unusually I even did a little shopping here - a couple of tops which were cheap and some earrings on Canal Street for $2 a set (yeah, I know - big spender).
