Major advancement in stem cell research
As the stakes in embryonic stem cell research rise, so too does the potential for confusion about the scientific process.
What this means is that stem cell researchers are all over the map in terms of progress. Some, such as those working with juvenile diabetes, are experimenting with animal stem cells. Once they learn enough of the basics, they’ll be able to work with human stem cells, Snyder said. Meanwhile, researchers have already created neurons from human embryonic stem cells.
