Savannah Winds...
Along for the concert were my wife's friends. They enjoyed tremendously seeing my wife play the principle flute, and the piccolo during the Stars and Stripes forever; which was its usual rousing nature. This year the conductor, Mark Johnson, who usually dresses as Uncle Sam for this piece, came dressed as the Statue of Liberty. At the end, the huge American Flag dropped, and the conductor, his wife, and fellow soloist Scott Rogers let loose firework streamers and confetti.
