I don’t even know where to start with the federal level. The amount of incompetence, grandstanding and spin on this level is nauseating. The President cut his vacation short by a day. Wow, a whole day! Condoleeza Rice goes shoe shopping and takes in a show. Dick Cheney… where the hell was he? The broken levees were in various states of disrepair, funding cut to provide more for our lovely Iraqi occupation. Where were many of the officers of the Engineering Corps, the entity in charge of repairing those levees? Oh yeah, Iraq. FEMA’s actions, yes the whole organization, could have been a comedy skit if it weren’t real and so very tragic. Failure.
