My 9/11 memorial post

Where we grew up, this would be a good thing:

But I’ll also remember the August 6th, 2001, President’s daily briefing paper that warned of impending attacks by bin Laden. I’ll remember the ring of anti-aircraft guns around the Genoa G8 summit in the summer of 2001 while pondering Condoleeza Rice’s assertions that nobody ever thought of airliners being used in an attack (and her other probable perjuries before the 9/11 commission). And I will remember the little man who bravely ran away on 9/11 to bunkers in the West, who let bin Laden get away, and who is responsible for wasting the goodwill of the world on a war we shouldn’t be fighting.
